An aliphatic, polyester-based, water-borne polyurethane dispersion.

Suggested Uses: HD-2142 was developed for use on flexible and rigid PVC, and treated polypropylene film. Coatings containing this polymer form hard, tough, chemical- and stain-resistant films. Superior adhesion to PVC makes it the ideal candidate for vinyl sheet goods, automotive interior parts, vinyl furniture and components.

Characteristics:
  • Superior adhesion to PVC and treated polypropylene film
  • Excellent UV resistance
  • Good alcohol resistance
  • Good humidity resistance
  • Contains n-methyl pyrrolidone co-solvent

Application

N/A HD-2142 may be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions. Viscosity modification can be made with associative thickeners for application via spray, knife-over-roll, or other methods.

Drying

N/A HD-2142 may be dried at ambient temperatures with supplemental co-solvent addition. Typical oven drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to produce optimal film properties without additional co-solvent.
